CEO & Founder
Lynda Cowin Nijensohn, visionary founder and CEO of InsightIQ, brings a rare blend of academic, analytical, and business expertise to educational consulting.
A graduate of Dartmouth College (Philosophy and Math) with a Master’s in Secondary Education from Fairfield University, she has guided countless families through middle school, high school, dual-enrollment, and college admissions—including Florida’s most competitive programs.
Lynda’s success extends beyond theory. She personally helped her daughter rise from 132nd in her class to valedictorian in a class of nearly 800—and graduate from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a bachelor’s degree while still in high school. Her son’s achievements in the International Baccalaureate program further reflect her deep understanding of diverse academic systems.
Her unique combination of educational insight, business acumen, and data-driven modeling empowers families to uncover opportunities and craft personalized paths to college success.
Mariana Nijensohn
Application Strategist
Mariana Nijensohn, InsightIQ’s Application Strategist, is a standout academic achiever whose firsthand experience fuels her work with students.
At just 18, she became Windermere High School’s first valedictorian while simultaneously earning a BA in English (3.99 GPA) from UCF. Today, she continues her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, following early admission acceptance.
Mariana helps students discover their voices, refine their narratives, and present themselves authentically through writing. Her expertise spans multiple institutions—including UCF, UF, ASU, and the University of Arizona—giving her unique insight into different admissions perspectives.
Balancing rigorous academics with competitive dance, she understands what it means to pursue excellence in multiple arenas—and she brings that same discipline and creativity to every student she mentors.

Senator Anna Cowin
Legislative Advisor
Senator Anna Cowin is a respected leader in education and public service with decades of experience shaping policy at both the state and national levels. Her service on the Lake County School Board and as Superintendent provided deep insight into the challenges of public education. As a Florida State Senator and Chair of the Senate Education Committee, she led major reforms, including the A+ Education Plan and the Bright Futures Scholarship Program—initiatives that continue to benefit Florida students today.
Beyond the legislature, Senator Cowin has worked to expand educational access nationwide through her involvement with the Assembly of State Issues’ Education Committee. She has also mentored first-generation students at Rollins College, raising college attendance rates from 30% to 95%, and led community efforts through the Education Foundation of Lake County.
With a Master of Science degree from Fordham University and college-level teaching experience, Senator Cowin brings unmatched expertise to InSightIQ. Her strategic leadership helps students and families navigate Florida’s education system and maximize the opportunities she helped create.
